Drawing on his latest book, The Trump Administration and International Law, Professor Koh focused on the challenge posed by the Trump Administration to international law, and gave his assessment of President Trump’s tumultuous two-year presidency, arguing that he has thus far enjoyed less success than many believe.

Professor Koh is one of America’s leading experts in public and private international law, national security law, and human rights. Previously Dean of Yale Law School, he is currently Sterling Professor of International Law at Yale. He has authored eight books, testified regularly before Congress, and litigated numerous cases involving international law issues. From 1998 to 2001, he served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy, Human Rights and Labour, and between 2009 and 2013, Professor Koh was Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most senior legal adviser while she was Secretary of State under the Obama administration.
