Colleagues from the Swansea University Medical School and the College of Engineering, who are based at the Diabetes Research Unit Cymru, Swansea University, are holding this free event in collaboration with Diabetes UK, Cymru.
The event takes place on Saturday 8 July in Lecture Theatre B004, Engineering Central at the Bay Campus between 9.30am – 3.00pm.
Lifestyle Lead and co-organiser, Dr Richard Bracken, Associate Professor in Exercise, Physiology and Biochemistry in the Applied Sport, Technology, Exercise and Medicine Research Centre (A-STEM) at Swansea University said: “ This free event will deliver practical advice, information and inspirational talks about physical activity and diet for people living with diabetes and healthcare professionals.
“The event is open to all. It will feature talks from key diabetes researchers, healthcare and medical professionals. Covering subjects of interest ranging from exercise, nutrition, blood glucose management, medication, and advice regarding children.”
