Wynne will begin the day presenting a special fundraising show from 9am – 1pm on BBC Radio Wales before hosting the BBC Children in Need Appeal Show live broadcast from Wales, which will be broadcast across the UK on BBC One from 7pm.

The live broadcast from Swansea will feature live performances by Wynne Evans, Baby Queens, Tenors of Rock, and Jodi Bird.

To date, the Great British public has raised £848 million for BBC Children in Need. Last year’s Appeal raised a record-breaking £55 million, the highest amount of money raised by the Charity in its history.

Each year, money raised goes to help children and young people in communities across Wales who are affected by a range of disadvantages including homelessness, neglect, deprivation, illness and bereavement. In Swansea, BBC Children in Need currently funds 19 projects to the value of £1.2million.

‌Following the live Appeal Show, BBC One Wales will broadcast Pudsey’s Big Welsh Party on Saturday 19 November, a highlights programme which will include the best bits from the Appeal night, and events from Swansea University and around Wales, also presented by Wynne Evans.

BBC Children in Need is a wonderful charity, raising millions each year for very worthy causes, and we are proud to be a part of it. I am sure many of our staff and students will be supporting Children in Need with their own fundraising efforts this year.”
