Swansea University walks away with national Best Student Community award

Swansea University has been recognised as the Best Student Community in the National Student Housing Survey Awards 2015.

The University was also shortlisted for the Best Environmental Management award. This comes on the back of being shortlisted in the top 10 of the What Uni Student Choice Awards (2015) for Best Accommodation Provider.

Ceri Jones, Head of Residential Services, Swansea University said: “This is excellent news, and again serves to emphasise how hard staff work week on week to ensure that our students get the best experience possible when living in our accommodation. The award also recognises our consistent commitment to delivering excellent services to our students. “

 

The National Student Housing Survey (NSHS) is an annual survey of students in higher education across the UK. The survey measures satisfaction levels in all types of accommodation and allows participating institutions to measure their performance against national and regional benchmarks. The 2015 survey which is carried out by the Independent market research agency Red Brick Research, attracted over 22,000 responses from more than 200 universities and colleges across the UK.

Swansea University was the 2014 WhatUni “University of the Year” and this year it again hit the heights in the contest, coming third in the overall UK ranking and being shortlisted in seven categories – Overall University, Courses, Uni Facilities, City Life, Student Support, Students’ Union and Clubs and Societies
