Following the success of the first series that was broadcast last year, the second series of Corff Cymru will begin at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 3.

Dr Jones will again present the six-part series, and in this series, the human body's senses will be put under the microscope, where Dr Thomas will use his expertise to compare the human body's senses with animal senses. 

Dr Thomas (left), said: "During the series, I will explain the difference between human senses and various animal senses. I will also be explaining the unique senses that are found in nature, such as sensing the strength of magnetic fields and electric sensing ".

"I've always been fascinated by science" said Dr Thomas, who is originally from Ammanford but now lives in Swansea. “Taking part in the Corff Cymru series has allowed me to build on the work I do at the University on a daily basis, and has offered an excellent opportunity to showcase that work to a broad and varied S4C audience”.

Catrin Hughes Roberts, S4C's Head of Partnerships, said: “It's great that such expertise is available in Wales as S4C introduces science in a fun and authoritative way. During the past two years, we have broadcast several series that have featured scientists from Wales who have broken new ground in the field of scientific research”.

The first episode of Corff Cymru will be broadcast at 7.30pm on Wednesday, September 3, and will be available on S4Clic for 35 days.
