Guillermo, who is from Mallorca, was the subject of an episode of “Cracks Pel Mon” (Heroes of the World), a series which features famous Spaniards living overseas.   It was broadcast on IB3, a station which is based in Palma de Mallorca and which covers the Balearic islands.

The TV crew came to Swansea University to film Guillermo at work in the lab, where he is studying for a degree in medical genetics in the College of Medicine.

The programme also featured Guillermo’s life as a a professional footballer, including his time at Swansea City.  He was signed for the club by then manager Roberto Martinez, along with defender Angel Rangel.   It was Guillermo’s two goals against Gillingham in 2008 that secured promotion for Swansea City to the Championship, on their way to the Premier League.

Guillermo was filmed returning to the Liberty Stadium, home of Swansea City, where he received a warm welcome on the pitch before kick-off at a home game.

Guillermo Bauza said:

"It was a great surprise to know that my life could be taken as interesting or inspirational for other people to watch. Obviously my profile now is not one of a famous person and I love that fact. I have been always really normal and it was my work which made people focus on me."

Melisa Aliaga, producer with the TV station IB3, who came to Swansea with the film crew, said:

“The crew travelled to Swansea to interview Guillermo, better known as Bussy. We visited the lovely city and its different landscapes.

We also accompanied Bussy to one of his days in class at Swansea University"
