The Hospital Saturday Fund is a registered Charity whose aims are to provide assistance through its charitable funds for registered health charities such as hospitals, hospices and medical organisations who are in need of grants for medical projects, care, research or support of medical training within the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.

The cheque for £10,000 was presented by HSF CEO Paul Jackson and Trustee Mark Davies on Tuesday 27th May at the College of Medicine.

Professor Stephen Allen, Electives Co-ordinator from Swansea University said: “This generous funding will allow many of this year’s students to gain valuable experience of healthcare delivery at other institutions in the UK and overseas. For students going to low-income countries in Africa, Asia and South America, we prioritised funding for “ethical electives” - projects that would benefit local communities, their student peers or host institutions.”
