EnAlgae, which is a four-year Strategic Initiative of the INTERREG IVB North West Europe programme, aims to reduce CO₂ emissions and dependency on unsustainable energy sources in NWE, by accelerating the development of sustainable technologies for algal biomass production.

“Over the past two and a half years our scientists and engineers have been working on developing best practice in algal growth and optimisation in the overall procedure,” said project manager Dr Shaun Richardson.

“Now we’re getting to the stage in the project where we can start sharing the peer-reviewed results.

“To date there are 10 papers online, and this number will go up in the following months, so please, keep coming back to check on what’s available."
