It is well established that living a physically activity lifestyle has numerous benefits. However, despite this, many people are not active enough to gain the associated benefits. With the continual advances in technology, our environments are evolving to encourage sedentary lifestyles: why get up to change the TV channel when we can simply move our thumb and press a button?Perhaps the same technological advancements can be used in our favour?
This talk will discuss how we can encourage people to substitute sedentary time for more physically active pursuits and how we can measure such behaviours.
