Premier League produce - growing veg on the pitch

The Sandfields area of Swansea is an old community, but also home to many people new to the city. The Vetch Field - where Swansea City FC played until 2005 - is at the heart of the community. Artist Owen Griffiths, working with local residents, has turned the disused Vetch field into an urban utopia. Residents have been given free space to grow vegetables and other produce.

Swansea University and the Taliesin Arts Centre are partners in the project.

It is being run in association with ADAIN AVION, which is Wales's "Artists taking the lead" commission.  Funded by the National Lottery through the Arts Council of Wales, it is part of the London 2012 Festival and Cultural Olympiad.
