Lecture title: Natural History: Life on the Sea Shore

Speaker information: Dr Michael Isaac joined DACE in 1986, having been a part-time tutor since 1971. Prior to joining the Department he was Keeper of Swansea Museum and an honorary lecturer in the University’s Department of Zoology. He is the Coordinating tutor for Environmental Studies, Botany and Sustainability.

Michael works with a number of organisations in the local area, including the Brecon Beacons National Park, and is a member of the Management Committee of the recently declared Fforest Fawr Geopark. He has been involved in activities in the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the Environment Centre. He is also a member of the Swansea Environment Forum, the Swansea Environmental Education Forum and its HE/FE group, and is a vice president and trustee of the Royal Institution of South Wales. He sits on the Global Learning Award Committee of Cyfanfyd and NIACE Dysgu Cymru and is a member of the local Wildlife trust and the Glamorgan-Gwent Archaeological Trust, and has been a trustee of both in the past.

Lecture summary: This lecture will look at the animals and plants that live on the British sea shores.
